The empowered woman is powerful beyond measure and beautiful beyond description. Team Sampada wishes all women a very Happy Women’s Day and presents to you this special women’s day edition of Sampada!
We start off this edition with a special editorial written by Dr Usha Murthy, chairperson of the Department of Civil Engineering at UVCE. She shares with us her journey of becoming the first lady chairperson of the Civil Engineering department.
In this edition, we have compiled a series of interviews we had with many proud female alumni of UVCE who have made their mark globally and continue to break all barriers. Read this edition for our interviews with Sheenam Ohrie, Kalavathy Bylappa, Sandhya Thyagarajan, Shuba Krishnamurthy, and Claudia Vandana.
We also bring to you an article by Sumitra Bai, a proud alumnus of the 1967 Mechanical batch, which was published in Avalokana-2.
